Air Dry Clay

Create raised details for furniture and home decor with IOD Air Dry Clay. Press it into an IOD mould to make decorative castings for frames, boxes, signs, and other creative projects. It dries in the air, making it a practical choice for adding dimension to a handmade piece.

A light dusting of cornstarch can help release a casting. Press clay firmly into the details and remove excess from the back. IOD recommends attaching damp castings with a suitable adhesive when you want them to follow a curved surface.

Some shrinkage, warping, or small cracks can occur as the clay dries. Those effects can suit an aged finish; small cracks can also be filled with a little damp clay.
